The manager of Pertamina Pelumas, Hasto Wibowo, explained that Pertamina Speed Shop&Drive is a form of cooperation that started in 2004 between Pertamina Pelumas and PT Astra Otoparts as the owner of Shop&Drive trademark. According to Hasto Wibowo, this kind of cooperation is open to all of Pertamina’s gas stations, such as with Soeteddy, the owner of the public gas station in Jalan Kalimalang, Cipinang Bali, East Jakarta.

Denny Suharja, General Manager of Retail Division, PT Astra Otoparts Tbk, announced that Shop&Drive has 90s outlets and is still counting. On the other hand, as a company that strives to be as environmentally friendly as possible, Shop&Drive is constantly supporting green company values. In the theme of Environment Day on 5 June, Shop&Drive launched the “Be the Friend of Environment” program, which includes customers’ ability, while purchasing a GS battery with Maintenance Free in all of Shop&Drive outlets, to exchange the used battery with Rp 150,000 for car battery and Rp 20,000 for motorcycle battery. At Shop&Drive, these used batteries will then be forwarded to a certificate institution that manages used batteries.

The inaguration event was attended by the main Indonesian racer, Ananda Mikola; automotive figure, Helmi Sungkar; and several great Indonesian motorcycle racers under the umbrella of Pertamina Prima XP.

When Ananda was asked about the benefit of Pertamina Shop&Drive, he explained, “As a racer, I got good benefits, since quick vehicle service of Shop&Drive can really save time. In addition to that, the available products are all of high quality.” (Verri Dj)
