AOP has many social responsibility programs, one of which is giving attention to educational institutions. On the 27th to the 28th of January 2006, AOP participated in the Seminar and Exhibition for the 35th Anniversary of ITB Industrial Engineering at the ITB campus in Bandung, which was set under the theme “Industrial Engineering Roles to Boots Competitiveness”.

Budi S. Pranoto, President Director of PT. Astra Otoparts Tbk, was invited to be one of the spokespersons, where he shared his experiences with a speech entitled “ Increase in Productivity to Boost Competitiveness”. The event was opened by Fahmi idris, Minister of Industry and was attended by about 200 students, lecturers and other interested parties each day.

On one occasion the Minister of Industry visited the AOP booth, accompanied by Budi S. Pranoto, who explained all about the AOP – Group products. The Minister was very enthusiastic and asked many questions about AOP – Group products and its developed technology. During the exhibition, AOP displayed some of their products in the form of car and motorcycle models, which received careful scrutiny from students and lecturers from ITB and other universities.

The AOP booth also displayed motorcycle rear view mirrors of their own design (AOP – Adiwira Plastik Division), a simulation of the forging process (MTM), conveyor chain models (FSCM), shock absorber testing simulations (KYB), models of the Shop&Drive stores, Marketing Skill Development Programs, Recruitment Programs (HRD), as well as the attention – grabbing Free Service for Motorcycle Program from Aspira Care Service.
